| Karen Rinaldo was born in 1952 in Worcester Massachusetts. The world of art was brought to her doorstep when she attended a local City High School that was across the street from the well known Worcester Art Museum School . Miss Rinaldo studied there with Boston Artist Robert Dougless Hunter and after graduation from High School in 1970 studied briefly with Claude Crooney a member of The American Watercolor Society at the Barnstable Conservatory of Music and art on Cape Cod. Miss Rinaldo pursued her artistic career in 1972 and wrote two books. One comprised all the towns on Cape Cod and paid tribute to the Bicentennial in 1976 and the 2nd book was a compilation of poetry . Miss Rinaldo's work reflects the charm of Cape Cod and New England . Historical subjects present a challenge and continue to intrigue her. In the early 90's she was commissioned to create the first historically accurate painting of The First Thanksgiving/ 1621. The painting is part of the collection at Plimouth Plantation and is displayed in the ongoing exhibition at the museum. The painting has become an educational tool and reference for Elementary School children and was showcased in Scholastic Book as well as a teacher's manuel that is available at Plimouth Plantation . Art classes are also held at the Gallery and on location at some of Falmouth, Cape Cod's most picturesque locations. Group as well as individual are welcomed . The gallery is a working studio and when you visit the artist will be happy to answer questions and discuss commission works of art with the customer. M urals are popular in homes and restaurants and can jazz up an intimate area or office space.
